Sixers Invite Four Free Agents to Camp
The Philadelphia 76ers have locked down their training camp roster by inviting four free agents to join their lineup of 13 signed players: Dionte Christmas, Sean Singletary, Brandon Bowman, and Jared Reiner (probable). The Sixers have two open roster spots for the season.
The 6-foot-5 Christmas averaged 19.5 points this past season as a senior shooting guard for Temple. After going undrafted, he participated on the Sixers/New Jersey Nets summer league team in Orlando in July.
Singletary, of Virginia fame, played 13 games with the Charlotte Bobcats and Phoenix Suns last season. The 6-foot guard was Sacramento’s second round pick in the 2008 NBA draft.
Bowman hails from Georgetown University, where he graduated from in 2006. He is a 6′9″ forward who played in the NBA D-league for two seasons before heading abroad last year to play for the Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany.
Reiner is a 6′11″ center who attended Sixers camp last season but was ultimately waived. He was undrafted out of Iowa in 2004.
