Iverson signs with Sixers
Just a couple of weeks after announcing his retirement, Allen Iverson has signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.
The guard will be returning to the city where he spent nearly all of his career and become one of the league’s biggest stars.
The Sixers are hopeful Iverson can help them reverse course and steer them toward the playoffs.
Iverson signed with the Memphis Grizzlies in the offseason after contemplating his future and trying to find an interested team.
However, he quickly grew frustrated by the team’s losing and his role coming off the bench and took a leave of absence.
