Iverson is back
The Philadelphia 76ers welcome Allen Iverson back to the lineup in front of a sold-out crowd at the Wachovia Center.
Iverson, whose affection for the city is reciprocated by the fans’ feeling for their beloved star, did not have a huge impact in his first game with the team.
The guard, who was in tears when introduced at the news conference, warned that he wouldn’t perform any miracles. At least not right away.
He will be in the starting lineup until Louis Williams returns from injury, at which time the Sixers will have a tough decision to make.
Until then, Iverson should substantially boost ticket sales and give the team their best chance to win.
